My clients aren't just a set of books I work on each month. I get to know their businesses, understand how they operate, and become someone they can rely on when they have questions about their numbers.
Yelena started CityScape Bookkeeping because she wanted to offer business owners something more personal than simply having their transactions categorized and reports delivered each month. She wanted to build a practice where she could truly get to know her clients, understand how their businesses operate, and become someone they feel comfortable turning to when questions come up. Accurate bookkeeping is at the heart of what she does, and she believes the relationship and understanding behind it are just as important.
Based in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area, Yelena runs CityScape as a cloud-based bookkeeping practice, serving business owners across the United States. Her work includes monthly bookkeeping, cleanup and catch-up services, and QuickBooks Online support & training, as well as bookkeeping for law firms with the unique responsibilities surrounding IOLTA and client trust accounts.
Wherever her clients are located, Yelena's approach remains the same: provide accurate, reliable bookkeeping while taking the time to understand the people and businesses behind the numbers.
What Yelena enjoys most is seeing the moment when the numbers begin to make sense for a business owner. When a client can look at their financial information and clearly see where the business stands, what's working, and where attention may be needed, the bookkeeping becomes more than a set of reports. It becomes something they can actually use. For Yelena, that's one of the most rewarding parts of the work and a reflection of what CityScape is meant to provide: accurate books, greater clarity, and a bookkeeping relationship clients can rely on.
